today i am surface cleaning a large fire damaged piece of tracing paper. this is the reverse. the scene is religious, and the paper is in the shape of an archway, so i'm guessing it was meant for a small mural above a door in a church somewhere. it was folded, a lot, so the outermost surface has a large accumulation of soot, and it's very crispy. i will humidify and flatten it before surface cleaning it again...because right now the creases and folds are causing difficulty in handling, and they are hiding soot.
