this place is, no kidding, one of the coolest places i've ever walked into. were it not for the heat yesterday, i could have easily gotten lost for about 5 hours. it was literally as if we'd walked through a wardrobe into a strange world. if you need anything out of the ordinary, get yourself over there to forney, texas, and don't forget wear some comfortable shoes. i'm particularly enamored with the gypsy wagon (at a price of $30,000) that we've always lusted after as part of a dream outdoor living space. i wanted so many things, but at the same time was never sure what in the world i'd do with them. it was the best sort of museum, like walking through a carnival of still life. too bad i wasn't equipped with an actual camera...next time for sure.
